Scott M. Freund Joins GCC as President of the Wealth Management Division
McLean, VA — February 26, 2008 — GCC announced today that Scott Freund joins the firm as President of the Wealth Management division. Mr. Freund comes to GCC from Family Office Research, a Multi Family Office he founded in 2005 to provide a higher level of customization as well as to eliminate the conflicts of interest that come with a private bank or brokerage firm relationship. GCC Family Wealth Management will maintain the family office structure, tailored to the high-net worth client.
“Scott brings a competitive drive and energy to the firm,” said William P. Danielczyk, Chairman of GCC.“His knowledge of the industry and experience in working with high-net worth clients will be a distinct advantage to our new clients.”
Mr. Freund has over 14 years of experience in the investment, brokerage and private banking sector. Prior to founding Family Office Research, he was a Vice President and Private Client Advisor at The Private Bank at Bank of America where he was responsible for coordinating Bank of America’s products and services to deliver wealth management solutions for over 800 of the Company’s largest private clients. Mr. Freund also was a Financial Advisor, Senior Consultant at Morgan Stanley and a Financial Consultant at Wheat First Butcher Singer.

Mr. Freund is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), a Charted Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS). He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and was also a football letterman.
